CLAUDIA MAESTRE
Born and raised in San Diego, California, she feels blessed to live in “Americas Finest City.” Claudia Cristina Maestre has always been interested in self expression, whether it was through musical instruments, writing and more recently photography.
"I've always been somewhat of an escape artist, finding solace in solitude. I began taking pictures of the beauty I found around me. It wasn't difficult to find beauty on the bench overlooking Wipeout Beach.”
Claudia began her photographic journey in 2011 when she was asked to photograph the activities at the Children’s Pool in La Jolla, California for the Seal Conservancy. Landscapes intrigued her tremendously as she sought out directions from a San Diego based photographer to help her understand the technical aspects of photography. She incorporates her new found techniques to help capture the monochromatic tones of classic black and white. Grateful for the ability to express herself with images, she strives to inspire and provoke the imagination of the viewers. Her goals consist of traveling internationally. Through photography Claudia experienced not only self expression but self discovery. She wished to share her adventures with everyone through her photographic images.
